I apologize for the unhelpful posts of joke and pheonix. I imagine the point they were making is that you dont connect to mIRC. Mirc is a client that you use to connect to any of many networks by their servers in order to chat. The network's server is what you are "unable to connect" to. Apparently they felt that humor at your expense was more appropriate than simply explaining that fact or assuming you knew that in spite of your phrasing and offering suggestions to solve the problem.
