First of all, regarding my "advance warning" strategy, it has a lot of potential. Some problems need a "shock treatment", an imminent threat of new requirements for compliance, but some problems need slow change, so that the participants can "plot" a course to incorporate it, in this case for their software, but in IRL cases, for their lives. It is the difference between 5 minutes' warning of an obstruction, and an hour's warning.

Secondly, you are obstructing discussion on this thread and in this forum. I included the option to preserve binary compatibility. So your statements merely obscured mine; you did not contribute or argue. Please refrain in the future.

Thirdly, your idea to "just as easily make the change to prefix your command with '/'" isn't generic. It only works in some cases on some installations. Please show respect for those who use another command prefix in the future.
