I've looked into those issues, changed some, and to no avail. I did get this message;
* Connect retry #2 irc.link-net.org (6667) (dns pool)
if that helps narrow down anything. All I did was upgrade to the new version. The old one worked fine. I don't understand what could have possible changed between the two versions.
