Definetely agree with this. In my honest opinion, I don't think that the language needs any real changes to the syntax or structure upon what is currently available. New features, whatever, but backward compatibility is a serious issue, so I'd say no to changing an easy syntax that would basically corrupt all previous routines.

*cough* //echo -a "Would require quotes, but if I wanted a \"quote\" in my text, I'd need \\these\\ :-D"
