If you still have the chat window available, you can right click on the chat window box (usually located near the top of your screen), but not IN the chat window.
Then select Buffer - Save As or Save & Log As
If one of those is greyed, then select the other one.
For future chats, I recommend using the log feature located at mIRC Options - IRC - Logging
