Personally, my biggest qualm with there being no Mac mIRC client is that when I switched to Mac, I was forced to leave my favourite chat program behind, as well as my mIRC-script-based bot. I've tried running mIRC under Microsoft Virtual PC 7 (Windows XP) on my new PowerBook, which has a gig of RAM, and it ran hideously slow. It is not an alternative. What I would like is for at least one IRC client for Mac OS X to seamlessly support mIRC's scripting language. There's no way I have the time or knowledge to port an entire bot, as well as numerous miscellaneous aliases and popups and such for my personal client, to Perl or Python or some general programming language like that. (lol, I know I sound whiny, but it's true...I just started learning mIRCscript and now *poof* here I am without anything I'm able to customize the way I did mIRC!)
