This only just started happening today, I've not changed mIRC version, NoNameScripts or the theme I use for several weeks, but whenever someone posts a hyperlink in any IRC channel (even in private messages) mIRC decides to automatically try launching the hyperlink in my web browser.

As you can imagine this can get highly annoying, and if a malicious script sent me a hyperlink to xxvirussexytime.exe or whatever it could cause me issues.

Has anyone else experienced similar symptoms and if so how did you remedy them?

You have turned on "TRACK URL"

You will need to open the sytem menu and uncheck "TRACK URL"

To open the sytem menu click on the icon in the upper left of the window. You will have to do this on each channel window that you are having the problem with.
