When I perform whois on someone who has a 'client certificate' the line '<nick> has client certificate fingerprint 4cdbf4b33c9e5f4632c1a80540c5db41' is sent to the status window.

-> stitch.chatspike.net WHOIS Testing Testing
<- :stitch.chatspike.net 311 KindOne Testing Testing ChatSpikeexample.isp.com * :Testing
<- :stitch.chatspike.net 312 KindOne Testing *.chatspike.net :ChatSpike
<- :stitch.chatspike.net 330 KindOne Testing Testing :is logged in as
<- :stitch.chatspike.net 671 KindOne Testing :is using a secure connection
<- :stitch.chatspike.net 276 KindOne Testing :has client certificate fingerprint 4cdbf4b33c9e5f4632c1a80540c5db41
<- :stitch.chatspike.net 317 KindOne Testing 760 1356646208 :seconds idle, signon time
<- :stitch.chatspike.net 318 KindOne Testing :End of /WHOIS list.

IRCd: InspIRCd-2.0

mIRC should show the 276 numeric on whois line in the window it was performed in.

Edit: Seems like charybdis also does this and uses same numeric.

Thanks, support for this numeric has been added to the next version, limited to these ircds.

hybrid/plexus (Rizon) and seven (Freenode) also use 276 to indicate the use of a client certificate (altho some do not include the fingerprint).

I eventually decided not to limit support for this numeric to specific ircds, so it will work with all of them. The numeric is processed only while in the middle of a /whois request.
