I have found this bug. I have mIRC 6.12, Windows ME, Zone Alarm, Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106.
When i open mIRC (mIRC is not connected), and my browser is opened, the command //echo -a $url will return me the html page, but if i close my Browser and retype that command, mIRC Freeze.

Reproduced on XP Home, IE 6.0.2800.1106.

No bugs here on Win98 with IE 6.0.2800.1106.

No bugs using WinME with mIRC 6.12, ZoneAlarm and Explorer 5.50.4134.0100 here.

With Explorer closed there's no hanging, just
* /echo: insufficient parameters

I get the same as above, * /echo: insufficient parameters

Make sure you have *all* available updates, get them from www.windowsupdate.com.
