My question is how to make the $url identifier work with Google Chrome?
when I type //say $url it should return the page I'm on. It worked when I was using FireFox, but I want to know how I can make it work with Google Chrome, if there is a way. Thanks.

You may need to make your Chrome as your default browser for $url to be working again.

It has been my default browser for a while, but the $url identifier still doesn't work. You should try it and see. Maybe mIRC just needs that update for chrome.

Are you using the mIRC beta or 6.35?

version 6.35 is what I'm using.

jcRAM6, you're right. I try that identifier while having the IE 8 open (I hardly use IE, just letting it simmer on its own when it's needed), and I just realize it doesn't return the browser URL.

I don't have Google Chrome installed, so I don't know.

However, the $url gets along well with the firefox browser. sick

Yeah I know it works well with FireFox. And I just tried it with IE 8. It works with that to. And I didn't have to make it my default browser. This is getting weird.

Well $url is supposed to work in 6.35, but the beta seems to have a problem with dde ($url depend on dde), so the 6.35 may have a problem as well, I remember someone reporting a bug, but about /url.

Wims, that's only for beta. That's why I asked which version the OP was using.

Sorry, edited wink

Np. smile

In any case, it still may be related. As it uses DDE, it could be that Chrome doesn't correctly respond when $url is used. I don't have Chrome and have no intention of installing it, so I can't test it to see. However, if it's because Chrome doesn't respond correctly with DDE, then it's a Chrome problem and not a mIRC problem.
