Maybe I should have named my subject "Still no options box AT ALL!!" NOTHING I do brings up the options box! No Alt-O, no Connect>Options, no second from the left options button, ...NOTHING! I have been unable to register a nickname, therefore, I have been unable to use mIRC. Please help. I have been looking forward to using mIRC.

Try re-downloading and installing a new copy of mIRC (last version is 6.12), and do it from an official mirror provided here: http://www.mirc.com/get.html
Where did you get the executable?

if what fxmakers said doesn't work, i would think you don't have enough memory left to open it.
