Ha, big surprise i can't read Bulgarian (win-1251).
it's strange, because as you may see it's wide used

If you must use an older version of mIRC, you should not under any circumstances use any version of mIRC older than mIRC v6.35. mIRC v6.35 includes security updates that fix remote exploits existing in older versions of mIRC. You can download mIRC v6.35 through the download page on the mIRC website.

No, you need to learn how to read. If other people are using codepages you won't be able to read them on 7.1+.

Oh, i see now. It's so simple - just need to force other people to stop using codepages. But hey, FireFox can switch between codepages, thunderbird too. Why Mozilla don't force devs to write their pages using utf-8 only? Just saying.

Yes, that is what needs to happen. The reasons for this are explained in my post. Web pages can specify their codepage encoding in their HTML, that is why browers can support them. For codepages to work correctly on IRC, IRC would need to support per message codepage encoding, and in fact, if a person were to speak in multiple languages on the same line, it would need to support multiple codepage encodings per line. By using UTF-8, there is no need for any codepage encodings at all. All languages are supported at the same time.

Please note that mIRC v7.x was released in 2010 and this issue has been discussed many times before. There really are no plans to add codepage support back to mIRC. Thanks for your comments everyone.
