Lo,

I registered mIRC on the 21st of August 2007, my account was
debited £12.19, I received my reg info, put it in mIRC and all
was fine.

Now, several weeks later, after reinstalling XP, I fired up mIRC,
input my reg info, but mIRC responds with "Your registration does
not appear to be valid" every time.

So I'm thinking maybe there's a problem with the registration
system, and I'd try again some other time.

Anyhow, today I notice on my bank statement, that on the same
day mIRC debited the £12.19, they refunded me £11.52.

So, now I'm thinking that for some unknown reason, my
registration didn't go through. So why's there 67pence missing,
and why haven't I heard anything from Khaled about why my
registration didn't go though?

I've already emailed khaled, but there has been no response
so far. Help! frown
Very odd, I've not heard of that happening before. Nevertheless, it is simply a matter of waiting for Khaled to respond as he is the only one who can provide a solution.

Regards,
Ok, thanks for your help smile
One possibility that you might consider, is the difference in the buying/selling exchange rates between the British Pound and the US Dollar, as the purchase price for mIRC is stated in US Dollars.

You should be able to ask at your bank what the buying and selling rates were on that date.

Your debited amount would be the purchase price ($20US) plus the amount calculated on $20US to buy the US currency.

Your credited amount would be the purchase price ($20US) plus the amount calculated on $20US to sell the US currency.

As a Canadian, I also have to work with exhange rates when purchasing using other currencies.
Sometimes it can take me a few days to reply to emails due to the number of emails that I receive. I have just replied to your email regarding this issue.
Thankyou Khaled laugh
