mIRC Homepage
How about create a redirect.. The forum address is too hard to keep in mind.. Somth.. mirc.com/forum || mirc.co.uk/forum etc..
You can do two things:

goto www.mirc.com and click on the "forums" link
make a shortcut in your favorites/bookmarks.
ok, stupid me - the link is called "message board"

3 things:
Lol. Learn something new everyday smile
um, couldnt you have just said click on Help then on message board rather than posting a huge thing with your script prominantly displayed? Please take pity on those of us with slow connections who have to sit and wait for that to load
...and those that do not wish to be spammed, because quite frankly that was the obvious intent of that ridiculous screenshot attachment.

Regards,
Anyway the long forum name must have a short redirect name.. like mirc.com/forum..
The point was it doesn't. There are plenty of ways to easily access the forums. We have told you three ways. If you don't wanna use either of em but insist on someone else making it easier for you, that's just plain laziness on your part.
Ok, thanks for suggestions wink
You have a nice picture smile I like it smile

my screenshot isnt spam. its never going to be released so there would be no point in advertising it now would it

Whether you are going to release the script or not the picture still has your web site url in it that has other scripts on it so the term spam fits.

the picture still has your web site url in it

his signature has that .. what's your point?

what is your point? like ctrlaltdel said.. its in my sigg
Also has his IP >:P

I do kind of agree, as an image of that size (including complete script and desktop) is not called for. Simply cropping th eimage to outline to point of a menu, or even expresing the menu in plain text (I know, its old school) would have been fine.

3) Go to the help menu, and click on Message board

Something of that sorts. Not only is the image large in space expanding everyone's browser, but also is large in size for those who don't have a neat broadband connection. personally, I think you could have lost the image and said it with text. but thats just me I guess.

you dont have my ip...how do u figgure that you do? its no where on the image... 216.32.201.104 is gamesnet...u must be feeling pretty salty now.. and im not showing my desktop...double salt..
MY point was that its large, takes forever to load on slow connections, and wasnt necessary. While sometimes a picture can show something far better than words, i dont think thats true in this case. If nothing else, you could have shown it from mIRC's help, and cropped the image a lot, removing all the irrelevant bits. altho imo, words would have been more than sufficient in this case. I think you can hardly fault those that feel spam or displaying your script may have been behind your reasoning in spite of your sig.
*sigh* Why must I get so picky. Lets put it this way, the iomage of that size, including (but not limited to) your entire (opera?) internet browser window, start menu, whole scew of installed applications listed in quick lanch toolbar, and complete mirc window is not needed. Additionally, if the script is meant jsut for you, as you above mentoned, why is you must be reminding its your scripts by placing logos about the window? Perhaps early alzheimers?

The main point I am stressing is the image did not needto be of that size, nor even existant for that matter. We all don't need to see your entire 800x600 desktop in order to conclude there is a link in the help menu.

Strike 3. firebird
strike 4 i didnt touch the about dialog
strike 5 1280x1024

care for some more?
The funny part is you can't argue my points so stoop to the little points so you don't look too idiotic. I don't give a crap what browser. I also have 1600x1200, so gaging a smaller resultion is trivial to me. As for your "about window" comment, your comprehension skills need work. About, in this context, means "all around".

*sigh* lets not get off on a quibbling tangent here y'all. The whole point is what i said in my last post. If you dont want to edit the image out of courtesy and logic to whats relevant, thats your choice. Altho there is a case for it coming under the heading of spam, i gave your intent the benefit of the doubt and felt you would understand the reasoning behind my first post.

Regardless, the original poster has been answered multiple times, lets move on please.

np
The REAL waste of bandwidth was reading all the replies .. not the image it's self .. I agree it's large .. but it's no where close to spam.

</MO>
i have no idea why you want to continue what has been dealt with, but ...
-considering the majority of the image was a script and unrelated to the original question, some could argue it was spamming that script.

-regarding the size issue: if you look at the help file FAQ here about images, you will see:
images in messages: To keep the forums loading quickly for everyone, it is recommended that you do not exceed 35k for your image size.

images in sigs: We ask that you keep your images relatively small. As a rule, please do not exceed 125 x 600 pixels and/or 35k for a signature image. This will ensure that the forums load quickly for all users.

Now, to prevent further beating of poor dead horse, end of discussion
