hi folks & gals

a question has risen : what are the origins of the trout slapping ?
aka :"slaps DouD around a bit with a large trout"
where does it come from, who used it in the first place ?

Trout slapping was already a common convention before mIRC existed - I remember it from the very first time I used IRC, waaaaaaay back in 1992, when it was used to explain to the newbie (me!) what /me was for...
