Hi, I'm not a mIRC (or even Wiondows) user - so I'm asking this for a friend.
When she /pings me, even when I'm on line, she ses no visible response to the /ping.
Is there a message-level, or some configuration option that has to be turned on for her to see a response?

Thanks
rde

Assuming you are talking about IRC client-server-client pings, make sure that:

- She uses the correct command: /ctcp yournick ping
- Your client replies to pings: get someone else to ping you and see whether there is a response.
- She does not ignore the reply: the command /ignore -rw clears the ignore list.
- A script doesn't hide the reply: /remote off to disable remote scripts.

The ping reply should then appear in the her status window.
