The DCC Chat Session times out after 300 seconds (5 minutes) of being mute. Is there a way to extend it, or could you add an option to extend it in a future version of mIRC?

By "mute" do you mean "idle"? Because I opened a test DCC Chat window, and after 20 hours of being idle it didn't time-out.

did you establish a dcc connection or did you just open a window?

i established a connection. I did it again, typed a couple words to verify it was open, then left it idle. It stayed open for 4 hours until it auto-closed when I rebooted my router and lost connection to the internet.
