Using mIRC 7.38 on Windows7 x64. If someone posts links to websites and the link in question does not have the normal www. in it when I click on link mirc appears to be inserting wwww. in the link. That is fine IF the webserver is configured properly. If not then the link errors out.

If I copy and past the URL from the channel and into firefox there is no www inserted.

example

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/sop/4862295820.html

If click on that link in a channel firefox winds up getting http://www.minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/sop/4862295820.html and that errors out since the craigslist server is not configured for www.

Ignoring your typo in the first sentence "wwww.", I know you meant "www."

I did test the link by pasting it to a /query window and then I clicked the link. It did not add "www." to the domain name, but rather it remained the same and loaded in Firefox correctly.

I recommend you try typing /remote off or unload all your installed mIRC scripts, then test this behavior again.
