Hi,

I'm having issues when connecting to IPv6 servers. At the moment, I'm trying to connect to DALnet via IPv6. My internet connection is native IPv6 with IPv4 over Dual-Stack Lite (IPv4 access over AFTR-Gateway).

When I try to connect to the IPv6 DALnet Servers with:

Code:
/server ipv6.dal.net

I get "Unable to resolve server"

But when I force an IPv6 connection with

Code:
/server -6 ipv6.dal.net

Everything works, I connect and I'm doing it via IPv6.

So mIRC is obviously doing something very wrong when trying to connect to IPv6 only servers. I think it's only trying to connect over IPv4. How do I make it connect via IPv4 AND IPv6 without using the -6 option?

Each time I'm starting mIRC up, I have to enter the -6 manually again...

Thanks for all hints!

Have you enabled "Enable IPv6 support and prioritize IPv6 over IPv4 connections" under Connect>Options>Ports?

Actually... no ^^

I was looking for such an option but didn't find it. Thanks for pointing this out!
