Hey there,
I am having trouble connecting to a specific server. I can connect to it in other IRC programs so I am not IP banned. This is specific to mIRC. It will do an initial connection attempt, get stuck for several minutes, disconnect, then reconnect.
The server in question is irc.icq.com port 6666.
I tried changing my username. I tried deleting mIRC (including the Roaming folder) and reinstalling from scratch. I tried connecting directly to the server's IP.
At this point I have no idea why I am having so much trouble connecting. Any ideas?
Is there a debug mode I can turn on to help you guys diagnose the problem?
