I had this extremely annoying bug of not being able to turn off Ping Pong events in status window. This only appeared in v6.17 and was never seen before. Now upgraded to v6.2 and STILL the same thing happen.

Fresh install, no scripts.
Mainly using efnet and it occurs on no matter what server.
Why?

You are using a psyBNC, psyBNC doesn't answers correct on /ping

psyBNC answers PING :<yournick>
mIRC wants: PING :<time|nothing|timeoutcheck> or the thing for the flood protection.

It is no mIRC bug!

Uh.. but how come this is a problem that emerged from v6.17 and not before?

Under mIRC 6.17 and 6.2 the Floodprotection has been changed...

if you really don't need the floodprotection and the timeout check turn it off in the options dialog.

Or change to another Bouncer type. (or get a fix for psyBNC, i've posted some time ago a bugfix for psyBNC in here)

If you'd please repost that fix or redirect me in the right direction to it, i'd be much obliged.

Found it on another url, only got 404 from the one in the thread. Testing now.
