Hi. I have Optimum Online, and I do not use a router. I do not have any Firewalls except for Windows Firewall, but EVEN when that is DISABLED, I cannot connect to fserves behind routers/firewalls.

I get the following message:

This server is using an alternate server method, please make sure your DCC Server is active and set to port 59. /dccserver +sc on 59. This is a mIRC command.

Please help me!

Thanks :-)

That has to do with the sender's end... they're asking you to use type in that command (in any mIRC window) in order to connect to whatever you're trying to connect to. I've seen some people come up with the same question regarding dcc sessions. It has also been suggested (can't remember where) to type /mode yournick -x
FYI, bear in mind that mIRC is NOT a file-sharing program (though it does have dcc capabilities...)
