Forums mIRC Help mIRC 6.17 mouse scrolling not as precise as before

I just installed v 6.17 and since I use my mouse scrolling wheel all the time, it was very obvious that something had changed. Where I could stop a scroll just by stopping the rotating of the mouse scrolling wheel, now the scroll continues on for a few lines before it stops. This isn't the end of the world but it is real irritating. I monitor stock market chat rooms and there is a lot of live chat flowing by. I just noticed that the problem is less pervasive right now, late at night, when there is no chat activity, but this morning the problem happened everytime I used the scroll wheel, and mostly in one directing...scrolling up the screen.

Is there a control where I could adjust this and try to ameliorate the problem?

I left you an off-topic private message in case you did not get it.

The problem continues so I can only think of going back to v 6.16. Do I have to uninstall v6.17 first, or can I just reinstall v6.16?
