Apologies if this is a problem raised before or if it's in the wrong section.

My problem is this. I use MIRC fairly regularly, for the past year or two. Never had a problem connecting to FServes.

Yesterday, I tried opening one - Typed the trigger, the DCC Chat window opened, the message "Acknowledging chat request..." popped up, but after that it just said "Unable to connect" and closed.

Now, this is on an Fserve that I'd had no trouble using just 24 hours before, I'd made no changes in MIRC or Firewall settings. I tried a few more FServes, and it seems to be hit and miss which ones connect; Some do, some don't. And I never had a problem connecting to any until now.

I've been told by a couple of people that it's a problem on the other person's end, but that doesn't seem to be the case, as it happens with several FServes and other people seem to be able to connect to them just fine.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, an F-Serv connects to you, not the other way around. The problem is theirs, not yours, and could be nothing more than the servers WinTendo© needing a reboot. grin

Started having problems connecting to server itself earlier, getting an "Unable to Connect to Server (Connection Refused)".

I played around and changed some of the port settings again and now everything seems to be working fine. Server and FServe problems are gone.

Thanks for the help guys, it's much appreciated.
