hello, ive used mIRC for along time, recently ive been having problems getting good speeds using mIRC. My max speed is 67.7kb/sec. however whenever i download off IE i go about 330kb/sec. If downloaded off many highspeed servers using mirc, i can only get an average speed of 67kb (these servers are capable of much higher speeds) , i understand speeds differ from place to place but i am behind a router, could there be a problem with ports slowing down my connection?

any anti virus software running that might be watching all inboud traffic? if so this could slow you down (though most do not trap at the input level, which would have to be the case)

Welcome to mIRC a chatting program uses chatting
Welcome to IE a web browsing program uses downloading webpages and other things
Get the sarcasm? mIRC wasnt made to download large files it was meant to chat

save your sarcasm, regardless, the program IS capable of downloading whether you like it or not. As a payed, registered customer i assumed i could get some support for this feature.
